TRS Semolina Fine 500g contains one pure ingredient:

  • 100% Fine Durum Wheat Semolina (Triticum durum)

How to Use

Rava (Semolina) Halwa

Melt ghee in a heavy-bottomed pan and roast TRS Semolina Fine on low heat until golden and fragrant. Add warm sugar syrup (water + sugar) gradually, stirring continuously. The fine texture ensures a smooth, lump-free halwa. Cook until the mixture leaves the sides of the pan. Flavour with cardamom and saffron, garnish with cashews and raisins. A classic Indian festive dessert ready in under 20 minutes.

Soft Upma

Dry roast TRS Semolina Fine 500g until lightly golden. In a separate pan, prepare a tempering of mustard seeds, curry leaves, onions, green chilli, and ginger in oil. Add boiling water (2 cups per 1 cup semolina), stir in the roasted fine semolina, and cook on low heat until fully absorbed. Fine semolina produces a softer, smoother upma compared to the coarse variety.

Idli Batter

Fine semolina can be used to make instant rava idli – mix with yogurt, salt, and a pinch of baking soda. Add a tempering of mustard seeds, curry leaves, and green chilli.
